Japan decided Tuesday to provide 60 high-quality water purifiers to the U.N. refugee agency in the first such donation by any country for use at medical facilities in southern Sudan to help secure sufficient safe water as tens of thousands of refugees are expected to return to the region over the next 12 months, Japanese government and U.N. officials said.
